My little cousin Casey had brain surgery today to remove a tumor. I'm lucky that it was in SF so I could see her before, and will get to see her tomorrow after work.
She rocked it. She just got out and is apparantly in good spirits.
They woke her up once she was cut to have her awake during the surgery. It took almost 12 hours.
- I can't imagine how hungry she is with >24hours without eating!
- You know how surgeries are metal and shiny? What happens if you can SEE your open brain?!
Way to go Casey!
