Kivani - Day 3

We're all doing great on Day 3.  I'm feeling well and getting back into patterns, also Si has the week off work so we're enjoying some family time.  Riles loved his time with nana and rog and came home yesterday full of stories, we missed you Riley Bear!

Kivani is drinking well (huge relief), my milk is in and we figured out that she just doesn't like sleeping flat, so we're now getting a few hours sleep.  She's sleeping tucked into my armpit and its working well.  She's not yet gained weight but hasn't lost more than the first day, so hopefully soon she'll start gaining too.  The number of feedings and wet diapers are all okay.

Bunch of pic below.  We realized with Riles how quickly they leave this newborn stage so we're taking so many pictures...

We spent Sat night at the hosp, and Riles + both sets of grandparents came for a visit.

I love the way newborn babies bodies squish

And their expressions!
Okay, I'm only going to say this once, then I will treat her as her own person.  But seriously, aren't Kivani and Riley identical as babies?  Blows me away.

Eyes were already open on day 1!
Colleen and family came for a visit.  Kivani and Jonah are less than a month apart.  Of course, he now seems huge to me!
I love that the sequence below was shot in maybe 30 seconds.  That's how long it takes for her to pass out.

Quiet day yesterday with cuddles before Riles got home.  Loving this time together.

And a super visit with NanaRogs when they brought Riles home.  Thank you, the Graces!
Riles is doing great as a big brother.

Si and Riles setup the full train table today, and tonight Old McDonald had a "TRAIN!" many many times. Riles, at one with the train table.
 Matching stripes
Si was sitting with Kivani on his lap when Riles brought her all his favorite cars.  Very sweet.
Since I'm engorged, I'm essentially force feeding her every time she's awake.  The poor kid passes out immediately after a feed.  Head up, two seconds, and OUT.  Lovely
