HMS Barnabus

The maiden voyage of Barnabus has happened (I tried to explain to Ri how boats usually have girls names but he was adamant about Barnabus, so Barnabus it is!)! I'm pleased to report she runs great and is stable with all four of us on board. Don't ask about how the maiden launch went. . . . . Daddy forgot to put the plug in so immediately it filled with water. Then with all the water out and the plug in Mama let the rope go so we watched the boat float away. About an hour later we all finally set sail!

 We had a great cruise around Barnet Inlet.

 And Sweetie loved it!

 Mama was a great navigator. At times a little distracted from checking out the shoreline houses but we did get back to the dock. I don't think I have to go into detail about how well it went getting the boat back on the trailer! In short Daddy turned the engine off too early then crashed and Mama drove the trailer onto the pier not down the boat ramp! We've got all the wrinkles out now, so next time will be much smoother. . . . .

 So our lovely Sweetie loves babies - dolls, teddies, cabbage patch kids that is.  She's endlessly putting them to sleep under a blanket or changing their shoes.  Now let her hold a real baby and Wow!  She was sooooo happy and sooooo loving! This is (at the time 8 weeks) Mio, our friends Kristy & Marcus' new son!

He was great with Ri and Vons. Again Vonnie was so thrilled! 

 Kristy and Marcus are a lucky Mum and Dad - Mio is such a lovely baby.

 And Mio is also very lucky he has a wonderful Mum and Dad.  Here's Mama after a long Tessa hike!

 The grass in the back is doing well. As long as we get Tengs out for lots of runs that is. If he doesn't get out for at least 2 to 3 runs a day then he thinks it's funny to go in the back and eat the grass.  Funny Tengs.  Needless to say we're looking for his receipt!
