What started as a small project to replace the panels on our deck roof, ended up taking down our deck roof, which in turn tore off the side rails. And with the rails down, we may as well replace the floor. And gosh it would be nice if our deck were 2 feet larger.
So... we're redoing our deck.
This also means all the crap under our deck is now strewn around the yard. Rain rain stay away!
It also means that our back door empties onto cross beams with no floor.
Which brings me to part II:
Because he can no longer exit via the back door, Riles is now fascinated with it. And while hes long been able to open the lever, we were previously safe with the bolt lock above.
No longer. Now what? Drill in and add deadbolt at the top?
(ha! Si's friend James, in a fit of frustration at his 2-year old, drilled in a locking latch onto their fridge!)
Vani is also growing up, happily babbling "ba ba ba" two days in a row. She still only eats or drinks something (other than my milk) every few days, and then minimally. No interest. The only good thing is that I still have to pump while I'm at work, there's a 4month old boy down the road who can't have formula but his mom had a breast removed so makes very little milk. We've got a good thing going now where he gets Vani's milk. And all was well.
