Waterblasters were a big hit!
I want to eat her bum
Chilling in the sunshine
Elephant!
// See post below. I can't help but think that this could have been our last picture of our little boy. Shudder.
Gogo is fostering little Einstein, a potcake. He was covered in mange when he first arrived, but his hair is growing back and he's got the most gorgeous big belleh!
Riles and Si in the Kayak.
Si and I got away as well, saw a raw and two large turtles swam alongside us.
Possible bum-obsessed.
When did she grow up so much?
We've heard about Rileys dune buggy Every. Single. Day since being in the Turks. To say he loves it is understatement. Great exercise for Si too, Riles is so scared of loud noises he wouldn't turn it on until the last day; Si pushed him around instead!
Don't you love this smile?
Love nudiekids.
Unfortunately when walking through said rental (person moved out in Nov, it's rented short-term over Xmas etc.) we noticed termite damage. This became a bit of a working holiday as the whole roof + rafters had to come out. Thank you so much to dad for driving this.
How 'bout "stellar view of the stars" for rental feature?
This is what the area in the front garden looked like. Bloody snake grass had run rampant and squished all the pretty flowers. The termites were hiding in here...
// Coll - can we appreciate the irony that you paid money to have this crap grow in a pot in your living room?
So it all had to come out. The top part, not as hard.
See where the termites had been hiding?
Then it was three long days of pick-axing to get the roots up. They were so in-grown that we had to take up the first 1-3 feet of soid. Can you see how entwined the roots are?
The dump pile is at least 10 feet tall! This is before adding all the roots.
But then returning to this gorgeous view...
Orchids grow natively here, and I loved looking for them in the scrub as we went for walks.
The Christmas orchid is brown, and has the most delicious cinnamon smell.
Thank you again, Gogo and Pops for another wonderful visit in the turks.
